Sources and planning assumptions

This US-to-India engineering scenario combines different datasets; it is not a matched-role salary survey or an Ahmedabad quotation. Edit it for your team.

  • BLS, May 2025: US software-developer median annual wage, $135,980, across experience levels.
  • MyAnatomy, GCC Talent Index 2026, p.12: Tier-1 senior software engineers with 4-7 years’ experience, ₹18.5-29 lakh base salary. The default uses the midpoint, ₹23.75 lakh. Team choices use the same table’s associate (1-3 years) and lead (8-12 years) bands, with separate Tier-1 and Tier-2 ranges. Its p.10 reports placement fees of 20-30% of base; our 25% replacement input covers recruitment only.
  • Federal Reserve H.10, 25 September 2026: ₹95.81 per US dollar, used once to express the India reference in USD. This is a dated snapshot, not a live conversion.
  • BLS ECEC, June 2026: US private-industry benefits of $14.07 per $32.82 in wages; we round benefits divided by wages to 42.9%. This broad reference excludes office costs and is not specific to software engineers.
  • ANSR / Talent500, May 2025: reported GCC voluntary attrition of 12.6%, used as a starting reference.

Planning assumptions, not published benchmarks: team size, horizon and annual headcount growth follow your selections; other defaults include 20% GCC overhead, $3,000 annual facilities per person and $50,000 setup. Managed and BOT scenarios use a 15% management allowance. BOT assumes transfer after year two for one month of target salary per person. These are editable planning assumptions. No source above validates these planning assumptions or GrowGCC pricing.
